Argyle Fine Art launches the first ever IKEA STILL LIFE WORKSHOP!

Sean Benton is a multi-disciplinary artist and university teacher living and working in Eastern Nova Scotia, CA.  He teaches Intro to Colour and Drawing at St. Francis Xavier University.  Sean will be leading this beginner drawing workshop which will introduce students to line, shading, and measuring objects from life.
THE WORKSHOP will take place at IKEA in Dartmouth.  Students will  meet us at the shop at 12:30pm, to purchase a desired item at the Swedish Food Shop  (ie no freezer items, preferred cans, jars, and packaged items). Then we'll get you to bring yourself and your item to the IKEA COMMUNITY ROOM (we'll be there to show you were to go) and the learning will begin.  Paper, pens and pencils will be provided but if you have a sketchbook you'd prefer you can bring that along too. No outside food or beverage are allowed in the community room.

Once we are finished with our food items, we will gather them to donate to the DARTMOUTH COMMUNITY FRIDGE. Items will be matched by IKEA! Come learn to draw and explore the world of home decor for a good cause!

NO REFUNDS ARE OFFERED ON WORKSHOPS. IF YOU DON'T SHOW UP OR YOUR PLANS CHANGE WE CAN NOT ACCOMMODATE A RETURN since we have to purchase the supplies etc ahead of time for each workshop.

We are still looking to find some other artists interested in hosting some fun workshops in the gallery for the months ahead. If you would like to work with us and host a workshop, get in touch with your ideas and a short bio!
