Argyle Fine Art is pleased present  photographer Steve Richard and his recent body of work,“Cloud Busting” this Friday, November 19th from 7 pm to 9 pm. The show will consist of 18 limited-edition black and white photographs which explore the transient nature of beauty as created through the interaction of dust particles and bodies in motion. In addition, Steve Richard is pleased to launch his book of the same name, Cloud Busting, which was printed at Zanardi Press in Maniago, Italy, boasting 128 pages with 73 duotone Black and White images, which will be available for purchase and signing throughout the evening. A great addition to your holiday shopping list! The show continues until December 6th and will be online for viewing once the show has opened at www.aryglefa.com

START TO FINISH! Red Spruce Designs!

Start to Finish: The Making of a Red Spruce Carpet at Argyle Fine Art

Please join Red Spruce and Argyle Fine Art for a special exhibit, that will see the award winning gallery transformed into a veritable carpet studio that features new and in progress work from their collections, rug hooking and finishing demonstrations, and an in depth look into how Red Spruce’s signature rugs and carpets are made. “Start to Finish: The Making of a Red Spruce Carpet” will take place at Argyle Fine Art from November 25 until November 27, 2010. A special invitation only preview for members of Halifax’s design community is on Thursday, November 25, 2010 from 4 to 7pm, with the public opening reception on Friday, November 26, 2010 from 7 to 9pm. 

Coffee Spill Drawings!! Get yours on November 20th!

Benjamin will be at the gallery from 2pm-4pm to meet you and make your coffee spills on paper into little works of art. His original works range in price depending on size, from $20-$160. He will also have some of his own paper with coffee spills on them, if you have a commission idea in mind...let him know.

...What a perfect way to get a head start on an original work of art....for that person who has everything and loves COFFEE....
