It's FREE for everyone to take part and most exhibits run until midnight on October 16th! Last year a lot of the planned activities were either cancelled or went fully online, but this year in-person fun is on again! Just wear your favourite mask, bring your vaccination record with you, and put us on your MUST VISIT list!
Get all the details HERE and plan your route.

WHAT IS HAPPENING AT ARGYLE FINE ART FOR NOCTURNE?
*We will be open until 11pm this year*

UPPER GALLERY- Transition:RJ OGEMAH
A collection of oil paintings by emerging artist RJ Ogemah that capture moments of transition in rural Nova Scotia. This will be RJ's first solo show with us. He is an artist originally from Thunder Bay, Ontario. He is influenced by his Anishinaabe roots and strives to share an appreciation of nature through his work.
WINDOWS OF THE GALLERY- Faced With: Media Portraits by Anna Whalen
trigger warning- some of the portraits may be difficult for some to experience

The over-riding theme for Nocturne this year is the word "liminal" which means to be in between and this collection of portraits is like a visual constellation of the past two years; we are truly living in between the past and future. The thing about this "unprecedented time" is we've experienced the vast majority of it through our devices. Media consumption increased, for better or for worse. Faced With tries to capture a moment in time, through the social media scope.
LOWER GALLERY- Repurposed Perspectives Group Show
This show is an eclectic collection of artists using a variety of repurposed materials. During the lockdowns of the pandemic, many art making supplies were not available due to supply chains.Suddenly it made more sense than ever before to be grateful for every scrap, every usable thing and make something beautiful from it all. There's a lesson there.
OUTSIDE THE GALLERY- Help us create an art installation using bottlecaps that are currently not able to recycled in Nova Scotia. RE-PURPOSE WITH US! Thanks to TANNER'S Recycling in Halifax for our supplies!
