Random Acts of Kindness!

 February 12th-18th, 2023 is Random Acts of Kindness Week!

What does this mean exactly?

The Downtown Halifax Business Commission began this campaign to spread kindness and love to members of the community and downtown Halifax businesses. They were inspired by Insight Optometry's goal in 2021 to spread kindness for their 40th anniversary! Likewise, Insight Optometry was inspired by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation's "Make Kindness the Norm" campaign! As you can see, once you begin to pass on simple acts of kindness, it truly does spread!

How can you participate?

There are endless ways! It is never a bad time to spread kindness. Looking for a place to start? Here are a few ideas!

-Come by the gallery on Saturday, February 18th to conclude Random Acts of Kindness Week! From 1:30pm-3pm we will be having an ARTIST MEET & GREET! Various artists participating in this year's Pre-Shrunk show will be by to chat and share a love of art! This is a great chance to spread kindness and appreciation! There will be cupcakes!

-Use the hashtag #RAKDTHFX when sharing ideas online!

-Stop by the gallery window to pick up a post-it message! Once you are done, you can pass it on to another person!

-Give a little gift to someone for no reason at all! You have no idea how much the little things can change someone's day.
