HIGH TIME for ART at HIGH NOON 2014: Gordon MacDonald

Greetings Everyone!  We're beginning the yearly inventory at Argyle Fine Art as we did last year, and finding some wonderful paintings that should have found homes already!

So, from now until January 15th, we'll be once again be doing HIGH NOON at NOON...where we will be featuring ONE piece of art at HIGH NOON that will be priced at a special price but for just 24 hours! The works selected for these days, are works that the gallery and artist that created them feel is some of their best works...but haven't found a home yet. We'd like to introduce you to these works and hope that some of them find a home with you.

We thought we'd start with a real beauty by Gordon MacDonald! This is a painting from much warmer days than we are experiencing today in Nova Scotia.

Today's HIGH NOON featured work is called "South of Canning" This work is painted with oil on wide profile canvas (ready to hang as-is;  no frame included but would be easy to frame as you like) and measures 14" x 16".   This work was painted in 2011 and has had many admirers, but still remains here.

SOLD

Until tomorrow at HIGH NOON, this work is priced at $ 995. After that time, it will go back to it's original price of $1400

South of Canning, Oil on Canvas, 14" x 18", 2011
Canning, in Annapolis Valley,  is one of Gordon's favourite places to paint and visit, especially in the Fall when all the trees and fields show their colours. As always, remember that Gordon's works are much better in person than they are in any photographs we can take.
