TWIST AND SHOUT- The 1950s-1960s are coming to Argyle Fine Art this Saturday!

At Argyle Fine Art we believe that a big part of any holiday season is remembering the past and looking forward to the future for the coming year ahead. So each SATURDAY before Christmas, we'll be celebrating the holidays through the decades beginning with the 1950s and 1960s this Saturday, December 5th!  Drop by between 1-4 each Saturday and experience our NOSTALGIC HOLIDAYS.

*1950s &-1960s* : Saturday, December 5th

RECORD PLAYING PARTY! 

We'll have a vintage styled record player all set up, awaiting for you to play your favourite holiday tunes upon it. We'll have some records for you to choose from or bring your own! We'll be featuring artworks and cards inspired by the 1950's & 1960's such as works by Angela Carlsen, Andy MacDonald, and even a mini Christmas tree camper vintage style (see below) , made from a shoe by Kim Danio, of course! 

*1970s & 1980's* : Saturday, December 12th OPEN UNTIL 7pm for our HOLIDAY PARTY TOO!

Relive the 1970's and the pop culture of the 1980's! We'll have a DISCO BALL, a delicious JELL-O Mold, oversized watches, and lots of colourful art for you to choose from! ALSO....we'll have a LIVE TWEET IN with the one, the only WOODY THE TALKING CHRISTMAS TREE! Talk to the tree and ask him questions or share a memory 2pm-3:30pm @woodyxmastree

 

*1990s-2000's*- Saturday, December 19th

Ah....the 1990s and the 2000's....seems like just yesterday! We'll have lots of shiny things, BOY BAND christmas tunes (not all day- don't worry!) We'll also have lots of internet cats, a QR CODE scavenger hunt throughout the gallery and more. Bring your cellphones for this one! Art will be all about technology and reusing/repurposing things!
