Artist Chris Bennett is working on a fun, collaborative version of #myhappyplaceproject and she needs our help. Where's your happy place? It can be anywhere or anything? Quiet nights at the cottage, walks on your favourite beach, listening to your favourite music - we'd love to know! Here's the BIG IDEA:Chris will be here this Thursday as part of our ART IS EVERYTHING series,to talk about her happy place project this Thursday, Aug. 10, from 12-2:30 pm.

Chris will write everyone's submission in the artful handmade book she has created.She will then place the book in the box and leave it in a public place on Thursday afternoon for someone to find. Fun, right? The world needs to know now, more than ever, where all the best happy places are. (see the photo above for what the actual piece will look like)

This Saturday, August 12th beginning at 2pm drop by the gallery to pick up a MAP to lead you to the secret RAINWORKS messages scattered throughout the city. Find them all, photograph them and post to social media using the hashtag #saysomethinghfx and we'll enter you to WIN a $100 gift certificate. While here meet some of the Rainworks artists, try making a stencil yourself using the special secret ingredient in Rainworks. If it's not raining on Saturday, we'll provide water making implements or bring some of your own .
